NOVA DELIGHT
Going down ways at launching. Built at Edward T. Gamage Yard for Karl Longmire of Hillsboro, Nova Scotia. The NOVA DELIGHT was launched at the same time as Karl's cousin Dwight's SOVEREIGN STAR, these boats being the first Canadian vessels built in Maine for 25 years. The NOVA DELIGHT is 61 feet loa , steel hulled and will be used for scallop dragging. Launched in November, 1981 the vessels, designed by John Gilbert of Boston cost approximately $800,000 each with exchange rate, duty and loan interest.
