Whaling Nova Scotia

Whales carcasses float in New Harbor at Blandford, Nova Scotia, in Septmber 1970. They were harpooned on the fishing banks well off shore and brought to the Karl Karlsen & Co., Ltd., plant in September 1970. Whale meat was sent to Japan. Oil, fertilizer, bone meal, and animal feed was sold in the United States and Europe.
