NORTH STAR II, November 22, 1980. Finished by Nelson "Sonny" Lash on a fiberglass hull as a new class of boat not previously built in the United States. Drascombe boats are built under authorization of the parent firm Honnor Marine in Devon, England.Described as a family type craft the NORTH STAR II is ( 46') 18 feet 9 inches loa, with a 6 foot 3 inch beam and a draft between 10 inches and 4 feet. The Drascombe boat line includes several models, Maine Marine has chosen to start with a boat in the $7,500. range. NORTH STAR II is built for Peter Murphy who will complete his crew with his father Gordon and brother Jonathan when he goes out for the larger lobsters.
