SUZANNA
September 15, 1975. Built at Padebco Yard, Round Pond,Maine. Traditional wooden Friendship sloop hull but schooner rigged. Named for the Captain Theodore Manning's granddaughter., Suzanna Schueth. 32 feet overall, 11 feet 8 inch beam and 6 foot draft. Two Manning sons helped with construction.Robert carved and designed trailboards and figurehead. Cedar and oak came from Bill Munroe's wood lot in Lincolnville. Capt Manning retired as Master of the PALMETTO STATE, owned by States Marine Lines, N.Y.
