PROWLER

This is PROWLER, built at Washburn and Doughty Associates in East Boothbay, Maine, for a group of investors, New Meadows Trawlers, Inc. Designed by Bruce Washburn and equipped as a scalloper/dragger, she was first skippered by Capt Peter Leavitt of Acushnet, MA. She was 80 feet LOA with a 21 ft.3 in. beam and 11 ft. draft. Her fishhold capacity of 3,500 cubic feet could carry 140,000 pounds of iced fish. She was delivered in May 1984 to Bath, ME.
