Schooner STEPHEN TABER - BARNES - one of the owners, Ken Barnes, of the 68' schooner which has been completely rebuilt - it is an 1871 vintage ship - shown here Ken is also a blacksmith and is photographed here at theanvil close up. The TABER has been documented as the oldest active commercial sailing vessel in the United States. November 1, 1979
