Full rigged ship - 1885 maiden voyage from Boston to Melbourne. Principal owners from Boston and New Bedford, Mass. . Built on the Kennebec at Bath, Maine. Down Easter square rigged merchantman. Lost on a coral reef loaded with coal from New South Wales for Manila in 1887. Launched Aug. 27, 1885. Built by New England Shipbuilding Co. at Bath, Me. Capt. William C Warland , Brooklyn, N.Y. . Retired in 1909 after 40 years a Master. Tonnage 1210 tons, 191' length, beam, 38.8' ,22.8' depth. A 3 sky sail yard ship - 7000sq. yards of sail. (COPY NEGATIVE)
