Carter Boat MARM and PA built for Leonard May in 1973. Shown here at the launch April 1973. Launching MARM AND PA April, 20, 1973 Launching on the "Carter Shore" on the Medomak River took a community. The spectators didn't just come to watch; they came to work. Here the crowd is using levers and rollers to slide the cradle as far into the water as they can. The cradle has already been slid as far as possible in low water. The rising tide will float the boat with some help from a line that will be run to the lobster boat just off shore. A line could be run to the lobster boat just to the left for a pull.
