PROUD MARY

Here is some detail of the hull of PROUD MARY during construction in early 1975 at Atlantic Boat Works, Boothbay Harbor, Maine. Eugene Kral, a gem cutter from Flushing, N.Y., was the owner. It was a George Stadel, Jr., design. PROUD MARY had a length of 43 feet 10 inches, beam of 13 feet 4 inches and draft of 5 feet 11 1/2 inches. The 4 ton keel of poured lead supported the extra heavy 1 and 3/4 inch thick Honduran mahognay planking.
