PROUD MARY
Owner Eugene Kral, Sr., is on the left and his son Eugene Kral, Jr., on the right of their new top sail schooner. Built at Atlantic Boat Works from a George Stadel Jr. design, PROUD MARY had a length of 43 feet 10 inches, beam of 13 feet 4 inches and draw of 5 feet 11 1/2 inches. The keel of poured lead supported the extra heavy 1 and 3/4 inch thick Honduran mahogany planking.
