Richard Irving
The 27 ft. aluminum ketch FOX is on a dock at Knight Marine, Rockland Harbor, Maine, shortly after her launch April 18, 1978. Her builder was Richard Irving of Cushing, Maine. Behind her is a v-bottom skiff, also built of aluminum by Irving. Irving designed this boat after an 1891 Gloucester sailing dory with modifications for use under sail or power by a small Volvo Penta diesel engine.
