Schooner GEORGE E. KLINCK

From collection Elmer Montgomery Collection

Schooner GEORGE E. KLINCK

GEORGE E. KLINCK a 560 ton schooner built in Mystic Ct. 1904. Sank in 1941. Port side view alongside wharf. “I believe a man by the name of Sargent, who might have owned Southwest Boat Corp., bought the GEORGE KLINCK and converted her for some service. Doug Lee would know for sure. She may have spent time in the Indian River on the Boothbay peninsula. Consider these leads from a foggy memory; should be confirmed.” [included in the "Elmer Montgomery" exhibit]
