Cutwater detail. Bow close up of CHARLES H. KLINCK, a 522 ton schooner built in Noank CT in 1901. This study of the bow of the CHARLES H. KLINCK shows the old and the new. Name and paint are worn, and drooping anchors look tired. By this time the KLINCK had over forty years of coasting. It was the end of an era. Under the anchor Elmer carefully framed the new: a small sailing yacht. [included in the "Elmer Montgomery" exhibit]
