Schooner HATTIE LORING

HATTIE LORING alongside dock in winter. This schooner shows up in the movie "Deep Waters" and at the time was owned by Capt. Greenlaw. She ended her days tied to the south side of the wharf complex where the North End Shipyard is now located. "Frank Swift bought the LORING for his business in early 1942, planning to use her for pulpwooding. She was brought from Lubec, arriving in Camden on May 25th, 1942. He had bought the wharf that she's alongside of at about that time. The pulpwooding contracts never worked out, and she had bedbugs that precluded the passenger trade" - contributed by Roderick Swift 2017
