Tugboat JOHN C. MORRISON
Register name JOHN CHESTER MORRISON; dismantled at Snows, 1937. Hull and pilot house. Built in 1867, South Rondout New York for the United States Engineer Corps as A.A. HUMPHREYS. After working as the tug ATLANTIC, she became the MORRISON, working in Boston and Portland before coming to Rockland under ownership of M.B.SC.O.. Sold in 1916 to the Snow Marine Co. Sold to New York in 1916, then back to Snows in 1922. She died right where she’s shown. Bowsprits of the Klinck schooners are at left and ANNIE B. MITCHELL is in background.
