Riverside operations of the Mount Waldo Granite Company Frankfort, Maine in 1907. Note granite stacked for shipment and riverside derricks. Quarry on Mt Waldo was more than a mile from pier. Owners were Pierce and Rowe. Stone from Mt. Waldo was used to build Fort Knox at Prospect, just downstream from Frankfort, during the 1840's.
