View from shore at Belfast, Maine Harbor of the schooner PENDLETON SISTERS (2nd) nearly complete. Masts have been stepped, but no other spars have yet been rigged. She was launched Tuesday, October 2, 1906 from the Pendleton Brother's yard in Belfast. She was christened with roses by Miss Effie B. Pendleton. She is named after the five daughters of Capt. Pendleton: Brina Pendleton Stevens, Alice, Grace, Effie B. and Phoebe. They are attractive and interesting young ladies, either of whom is capable of sailing the vessel named in their honor. Their father presented each with 1/32 of the vessel. Notes: scan catalog - there are about 20 images of this vessel, she was launched with white hull and later painted dark, this is the 2nd vessel of this name, the first was a 3-master.
