Schooner-6 MERTIE B. CROWLEY at Boston. Ship is fully loaded, but also fully 'dressed' flying same complement of flags seen in launching photo - see LB2013.21.1122. On January 23rd, 1910, the American 6-masted schooner MERTIE B. CROWLEY, on voyage from Baltimore to Boston with 5000 tons of coal, was wrecked on the west side of SkiffÆs Island Shoal, off Chappaquiddick, Vineyard Haven. The MERTIE B.
