These five fishermen appear to have bagged a nice group of trout probably from Meddybemps Lake. Note that the heads have been cut nearly off. The cut will have been made through the backbone as well. This will allow the person cleaning the fish to remove the guts by simply pulling on the head. This would have previously required making a slit along the lower side of the fish.
