MALLARD under sail
Two cutters under sail in what appears to be Belfast Bay / Penobscot Bay On the left an unknown-named small gaff-rigged cutter with two jibs can be seen. On the right is the yacht Mallard. It is a cutter with 3 jibs and a topsail above the gaff-rigged main sail and features a plumb bow. She is 37.4 feet in length, 11 tons, was built in Chicago, Illinois in 1888. She was owned by Charles R. Coombs in 1901.
