Old Llewellyn Sleeper Cottage at Tilden Pond about 1885

The old Llewellyn Sleeper Cottage at Tilden Pond circa 1885 is also named as Sam Sleeper's cottage. The cottage on Tilden Pond, located on the eastern shore, was the first cottage on the pond. It appears that the cottage has references to both John Llewellyn Sleeper (1845-1917) and Samuel Longfellow Sleeper (1838-1926). Research suggests that they were brothers and sons of Sherburne (1811-1888) and Mary Elizabeth Longfellow (1818-1871).
