View from Sleeper Cottage about 1885
View from Sam Sleeper's Cottage circa 1885 Note the man at the oars with two women accompanying him for a row and the note the boat launching ramp in the foreground. It appears that the cottage has references to both John Llewellyn Sleeper (1845-1917) and Samuel Longfellow Sleeper (1838-1926). Research suggests that they were brothers and sons of Sherburne (1811-1888) and Mary Elizabeth Longfellow (1818-1871).
