Maine Street Decorated for Old Home Week 1903
Here ia a view of Main Street and its bunting-clad buildings above High Street from lower Main Street looking towards the Post Office and Customs House during "Old Home Week" in 1903 On the left, below High Street, one can see the Peoples National Bank in the Masonic Temple building. On the same side of Main Street, above High Street, a sign for a photographer can be seen. This was the William H.Tuttle Studio. The building on the right is the Dinsmore Shoe Store, located in the lower store in the Marshall Block on Main Street, and was established in 1850 by Bounds C. Dinsmore. Above Dinsmore's one can see a store advertising crockery ware and room papers and above that the City Drug Store and Eaton & Davis.
