Dice's Head Lighthouse, Castine, Me

A colorized postcard photo: "Dice Head Lighthouse, Castine, Me." The lighthouse with a small part of the adjoining keeper's house and the bay in the background. The postcard was addressed to Miss Myrtle Gray, Brooklin, Maine and postmarked at Castine on 28 July, 1922. Lighthouses--Maine Bays (Bodies of water) Dice Head Light is a lighthouse in the town of Castine, Maine. First established in 1829, the light was deactivated in 1937 and replaced by a skeleton tower 475 feet to the south. When that structure was destroyed by a storm in 2007, however, the old light was reactivated in 2008.
