Carter's Point, Sedgwick, ME 32
An Eastern Illustrating Co postcard: "Carter's Point, Sedgwick, ME 32". A view over hills with Eggemoggin Reach on the left and a road along the shore. A great view of the Benjamin River and Carter Point. Several wharfs are visible. Probably the largest one was built by the Carter Point Steamboat Wharf Co. organized by Herrick, Smith and Co. to provide a landing in the river for small steamers. The wharf was also used for shipping paving, coal and lumber. This wharf is within the river and different from the one built on Carter Point and on the Reach for larger ships. Hills Bays (Bodies of water) Telegraph & telephone poles
