The Willows, Sedgwick, ME

A postcard photo: "The Willows, Sedgwick, ME". A large white Federal style house with el and barn, three chimneys, with an American flag flying. David Carlton, an original proprietor, built "The Willows" in 1802. It stands on the Brooklin side of the Benjamin River.A large grassy area is seen in front, with young trees planted along the path to the house. Two men, a woman and a horse are at the el. An electric pole and wires to the house appear to be in front. The negative of this photo is at LB2012.2.167. The plate is inscribed "Carlton House" and "C N Rhodes' residence."
