Schooner MARSHALL FRANK iced over ca. 1930 at Smith's Wharf; Capt. Frank Risser of Riverport, Nova Scotia.The MARSHALL FRANK was a grand banks schooner built in Lunenburg, NS in 1926 and sunk off of Cape Breton on the Mary Joseph reef in February 1949. "Built at Lunenburg, Nova Scotia in 1926 and registered there, schooner, official number 152951, 100 registered tons, owned by Frank Rissir of Kingsburg, Nova Scotia in 1930. By 1940 Mr. Rissir had added a 10 hp auxiliary engine to the vessel. Stranded 16 February 1949 at Framboise Cove, Cape Breton while under the command of Capt. Abe Myles.
