GLAD TIDINGS: Launching of one of old type Fisherman "Pinkies" July, 1937, at Sawyer's Boat Yard, Milbridge, Me. for Howard Chapelle of Boston, 46' length, 10'6" beam, 6' draft. The old time "Pinkies" depended on sails, having no motors, this is duplicate of these old type fishing vessels." This is profile view of Chapelle's pinky Glad Tidings registered to Searsport. A couple of dozen sit on a log back to camera in foreground. Three watch from the shop. No booms on, but a ladder to the rail,. Thompson and 8/17/37 on reverse.
