One of two bound manuscript volumes of Hall's handwritten notes documenting the shipbuilding industry. Volume I: "Shipbuilding in the United States," is nearly five hundred pages chronicling boat builders and shipyards across the country with detailed descriptions and sketches. Compiled by Henry Hall while collecting material for his report on the shipbuilding industry of the United States. 506 pages, partially filled.
