Caber Toss Competition 1

In this image two men wearing kilts stand facing each other with the caber, balanced upright on the ground, between them. It appears that int he next step, one of the men will lift the caber to his shoulder while the other helps steady it, as the heavier end is up.  Bagpipers play in the background amongst a crowd onspectators. The scene is a Highland Games at a Scottish Festival hosted by the Boston's Caledonian Club in 1945, which we know Kosti was assigned to shoot.
