The 4-Masted Schooner THEOLINE at John Street Dock, New York City

The 4-masted schooner THEOLINE at John Street dock, New York City. There were three THEOLINES. The first was a 3-master built at the George A. Gilchrist yard in Belfast, Maine in 1900 (Sank April 29, 1907, off Cape Hatteras, NC), the second was a 4-master also built at the Gilchrist yard in Belfast, Maine in 1905 (Sold to France in 1918 and renamed MONTE BIANCA) and the last was a 4-master (172.0' LOA X 34.8' beam X 13.0' draft) built at the F. Cobb yard in 1917 ln Rockland, Maine. Therefore, the schooner in this photograph is the the third THEOLINE built.
